I graduated from the University of Connecticut. I currently work with a local program called GEAR UP, teaching, tutoring, and mentoring high school students. I have previously worked with international volunteers in a developing countries to establish medical facilities, child care, and English classes. That experience inspired me to want to help students in the United States broaden their horizons.I struggled with languages in school, but rose above the problems to become bilingual. Because of my own struggles, I can empathize with students who are having difficulty and will find ways to help them understand and succeed. I have a passion for providing new generations with opportunities for a better future. As a tutor, I believe that if a student is willing to learn, he or she can master anything. My job is to present the material in the way that is most effective for that particular student's learning style and ability. I tutor all levels of Spanish, AP Spanish Literature and Culture, ESL/ELL, English, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Math for students of all ages. In my spare time, I enjoy golf, basketball, snowboarding, culture, foreign films, and spending time with my family.
